Plumbing Emergencies
If you have a plumbing emergency that’s caused a flood or burst pipes, an accredited service provider will be sent to secure the situation for you.
Get 24-hour assistance for:
- Geyser overflow causing damage to pipes
- Burst water connections and pipes
- Municipal water connection faults
- Blocked drains, toilets and sinks
What is not covered?
- Jacuzzi, borehole and swimming pool pipe problems
- Leaking toilets
- Leaking taps
- Replacement of burst geyser
- Plumbing that is not SABS accredited
- Parts and spares on pipes and fittings
- Leak detection inspection
Electrical problems
Electrical problems can pose great danger in your home. Get help within 48 hours.
Get 24-hour assistance for:
- Distribution board causing power failure
- House wiring causing power failure
- Main cables causing power failure
- Burnt connections causing power failure
- Lightning strikes causing power failure
What is not covered?
- Electric gate and door motors
- Single plug points or light fittings not causing power failures
- Jacuzzi, borehole and swimming pool wiring problems
- Air conditioner wiring problems
- Wiring that doesn’t comply with SABS regulations
- Parts and spares on electrical items
Locked in or out?
Ever had that sinking feeling as the door slams shut and you realise your keys are still inside the house – or your child is locked inside the house and can’t get to your keys? Jet Club will send an accredited locksmith to come to your rescue, at no cost, if you have such a crisis.
What is covered?
- Opening of your premises only, in the event of lost or stolen keys, or accidentally locking yourself in or out
What is not covered?
- Replacement of damaged locks, cutting and replacement of keys, and opening of doors on buildings other than your home
Questions and Answers
Q. When should I phone?
If you have a blocked drain, burst water pipe or a power failure – or you need to get inside your house or get your child out of the house and you have lost your keys, phone within two hours of the incident and Jet Club will come to your rescue!
Q. Can I get a community handyman to fix the problem and then ask Jet Club to refund my money?
No, Jet Club will not be liable for any services that are not obtained through the Jet Club helpline. You will be sent an accredited service provider who is approved by Jet Club.
Q. How many times can I claim for this benefit?
You can get emergency assistance for three home incidents per year. Jet Club will pay the call-out fee and for the first hour of labour to secure the emergency.
Q. Can I claim for old leaking pipes, damaged wires and leaking taps?
It’s important that you maintain plugs, taps and toilets regularly. Jet Club is not liable for fixing old or worn-out parts. The benefit only covers securing home emergencies, not routine maintenance.
Q. Can I claim for any problems at the home of one of my relatives?
No, Jet Club will only pay for problems in the homes of Jet Club members. We will verify the address on our computer system.
