The annual Teen Choice Awards took place at Hermosa Beach in California last night. We take a look at some of the top looks of the night.
Sun, sea and celebs. What could be better? The 2019 Teen Choice Awards was hosted by actress Lucy Hale and YouTuber David Dobrik. More than 55 million votes were cast by teens across America to make this fun event happen.
Taylor Swift was awarded the inaugural Icon Award, a bedazzled surfboard, with photos of her three cats, Olivia Benson, Meredith Grey and Benjamin Button. “These are my furry children, and this is a really proud moment for me that they are on a Teen Choice surfboard,” she said. “Aesthetically speaking, this might be my favourite award.”
Other funny moments included Lucy Hale and David Dobrik doing the bottle cap challenge with sunscreen, only for David to accidentally kick Lucy on her thumb on live TV!
Last night’s award ceremony saw celebs looking their beachy best on the blue carpet. The outdoor venue called for sundresses, pastel hues and pretty prints. Here are some of our favourite looks of the night.

GABRIELLE UNION
Gabrielle looked striking in a lavender Lanvin maxi dress with gold fringe accents. We love that she kept the rest of her look simple, opting for neutral wedges and small earrings. Gabrielle won the award for Choice TV Actress: Action for her role in LA’s Finest.

Zendaya was the epitome of summer in a pair of Jacquemusgreen shorts a vibrant yellow blouse and Le Silla shoes. She topped the look off with a pair of Bauble Bar earrings. The 22-year-old Euphoria actress took home the award for Choice Summer Movie Actress for her role in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Taylor Swift looked amazing in a bright Versace bodysuit, which she teamed with Kat Maconie shoes. Last night she also announced that the title song "Lover" off of her upcoming album will be out on 16 August. Put that in your diaries, Swifties!

The 22-year-old Riverdale star looked like he stepped off the set of Miami Vice in a pastel suit. This was the perfect choice for the seaside award ceremony!

The sisters channelled the ‘70s with their bandeau-inspired outfits. Halle is going to be spending a lot of time at the beach, as she has been cast as Arial in the live-action of The Little Mermaid. We can’t wait to watch it! For now we'll enjoy this cute video of the sisters.
