5 EASY STEPS TO LONGER AND FULLER LASHES

Five steps to turning up the volume on your eyelashes.

STEP ONE: CONDITION
Keep your lashes in good condition with a lash-boosting product. These stimulate growth and also prevent eyelashes from falling out as fast as they usually do, which means you’ll have a fuller lash line.



STEP TWO: CURL
Yes, it looks nasty – but if you have straight lashes you’ll have to master a lash curler. Curl your lashes when they are dry or the curl won’t hold. Look down into a little mirror and gently clamp the curler over the base of your top lashes, taking care not to pinch your eyelid. Squeeze a few times, then release.

STEP THREE: COAT
Mascara is your friend. Look downwards and apply it to top lashes, with resistance against the brush and the lashes to accentuate their curve. Start with outer lashes when you have the most mascara on the brush; sweep mascara from the root with the tip of the mascara wand.

STEP FOUR: DEFINE
Turn the brush horizontally and coat the rest of your lashes, starting at the base, moving the brush back and forth and upwards over the tips. Lastly, coat the fine lashes at the inner corners while holding the brush vertically.



STEP FIVE SEPARATE
Clumpy lashes never look good. Separate them with a lash and brow comb before mascara dries.

MESS SOS
Mascara mishaps can be difficult to fix, especially under the eye where the skin is delicate. Gently applying a tiny amount of moisturiser or petroleum jelly to the area will make it easier to remove any signs of a slip-up.



TOP TIP
A fine liquid or gel eyeliner gives the appearance of dense lashes. Look downwards, gently rest the brush at the base of the lashes then slide it along as close to the base as possible. Allow the liner to dry before looking up.

MAKE MASCARA LAST
Mascara getting a bit dried out? You can prolong its life by adding just a few drops of water or baby oil to the tube, gently dipping the wand in and turning it around a few times.
