Take a look at a few of these celeb friendships this International Day of Friendships.

What better way to celebrate International Day of Friendships (30 July) than to take a look at a few unexpected celeb duos you might not have known about!

1

LIZZO AND HARRY STYLES

They’re both all about spreading self-love and vibrant wardrobes, so it’s no surprise that these two are friends! They first met after Harry covered the “Juice” star’s hit on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. When Lizzo made her appearance on the show, she returned the favour by covering his song “Adore You”. Since then, they’ve shared laughs at the GRAMMYs and BRIT Awards, as well as several social media interactions showing love for each other’s work. The rest is history!

KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN AND ADDISON RAE

You might be familiar with Addison Rae from her viral TikTok dances, with her pivot into pop music as well as starring in a horror film, Thanksgiving, which boosted her popularity even further. She and Kourtney happened to meet when Kourtney did a cameo on her Netflix hit, He’s All That, in 2021. The pair have stayed friends since, and Addison has stated that Kourtney has been an amazing mentor to her.

DRAKE AND ADELE

Loud supporters of each other’s musical talent, it’s not unusual for one to be spotted attending the other’s show. Drake has even stated that Adele is one of his best friends. The two have often shared in various interviews that they understand each other and the industry, asking each other’s opinions on music and life.

KIM KARDASHIAN AND SERENA WILLIAMS

We were shocked to find out that these two have been friends for over two decades! They met when Kim was starting out, running a gig organising her celebrity friends’ wardrobes and reselling items no longer needed on eBay. Serena hired Kim, and a friendship blossomed. PITBULL AND JOHN TRAVOLTA

Would you believe these two bonded over being bald? Travolta had always been known for his thick, slick hair in Grease and Saturday Night Fever. However, as the years went by, he started experiencing male-pattern baldness. In 2019 he decided to shave it all off, stating that his good friend, Pitbull, lived the same way. The two collaborated on the 2018 crime thriller Gotti and kept in touch. Travolta has even taken to Instagram on Pitbull’s birthday, writing: “I just can’t tell you how much it means to be in your life.”
