The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards was a night filled with magical performances, iconic fashion moments, and an interesting view of how the pandemic has changed the future of awards shows.

This year’s Grammy Awards has been a bit different from previous years. Most award shows have had to make some drastic changes to not only ensure Covid-19 regulations are met, but also make sure they produce an amazing, star-studded event. And that’s exactly what the 63rd annual Grammy Awards were – amazing. Even with changes such as a limited guest list, socially distanced seating, remote virtual attendance, and intervals for red carpet stops, celebrities came out and gave us all the glitz and glam we love. A-list red-carpet players such as Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion were not modest in delivering over-the-top, high-end designer showstopper outfits.

Here is a breakdown of the night’s biggest winners and outfits that stood out!

BEYONCÉ
Queen B made a surprise arrival at the Grammy’s after rumours that she might not attend this year’s event. Beyoncé went into the Grammys with nine nominations, the most any artist received for the night. She won two Grammys but broke the world record as the artist with the most Grammys in history with a total of 28 gramophones. Her look for the evening was a classic black off-the-shoulder leather dress, custom-made by Schiaparelli. She completed her look with matching gloves, black high heels, and long gold earrings.

MEGAN THEE STALLION
Megan has had an incredible year with her music as she’s consistently won awards and topped music charts. She bagged three Grammys for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song which she shares with Beyoncé for their remix of Megan’s rap song Savage. Megan loves to push the limits when it comes to her fashion choices, however, this time she gave us old Hollywood glam in a strapless orange custom Dolce & Gabanna gown, featuring a thigh-high slit and an oversized bow at the back. She calls herself a ‘hot girl’ and she truly lives by that statement.

CHLOE BAILEY
Sister Duo Chloe X Halle looked ultra-chic and sophisticated in custom designs by Louis Vuitton. Chloe took an edgy approach to her outfit by accessorising with thigh-high black patent platform boots, black sheer gloves, and gold jewellery. They had three nominations which were for Best R&B Song, Traditional R&B Performance, and Best Progressive R&B Album. Although they did not win any awards this year, they do deserve a round of applause for their look.

MICKEY GUYTON
Mickey Guyton gave a stellar performance of her song Black Like Me and made history as the first black solo female artist to be nominated in the Grammy’s Country Music category. She graced the red carpet in a high neck, body-hugging gold sequinned gown, and long sleeves. Although she did not win, she made her mark in the history of the Grammys and she felt honoured to be nominated.

NOAH CYRUS
It wouldn’t be a complete Grammy’s night without some ‘over the top’ outfits that turn heads and make the front pages of fashion news. Noah Cyrus made a big statement in a white Schiaparelli couture gown that was draped, pleated, and propped up into a regal and frothy crown around her head. This was definitely a memorable fashion moment!
