South Africans got to know Zuraida on the radio when she graced our airwaves as the first woman to host a daytime show on the popular radio station, 5FM in 2002. “When I was a child, I was fascinated by radio,” she shares. “It was always on at home and I was captivated by the stories I heard – it’s theatre of the mind. I grew up appreciating radio for that reason”, she told Jet Club in 2017.

Since her radio days, the mother of two has cemented herself as one of SA’s most loved personalities by hosting shows like Big Brother Mzanzi and even winning the first season of South Africa’s Strictly Come Dancing
