How to store fruit to last longer

Tired of your delicious strawberries going mushy before you’ve had a chance to enjoy them? Or your banana going from ripe to rotten in a blink? These handy fruit storage tips will ensure your fruit stays fresher for longer.
Strawberries
- Vinegar
- Water
- Colander for rinsing
- Airtight container
How to do it:
- Add ¼ cup vinegar and 1 cup water to strawberries
- Rinse thoroughly and seal in an airtight container
Bananas
- Foil
How to do it:
- Chop off excess peels
- Place fruit side down into foil
- Wrap tightly and refrigerate
Lemons
- Cling wrap
How to do it:
- Place the cut lemon face down into cling wrap
- Wrap tightly and refrigerate
