Method

  1. Place the slaw ingredients in a bowl and toss to combine.
  2. Combine the pickled apple ingredients in a separate bowl, season and set aside to pickle for 10–5 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  4. Slice buns in half and place the bottoms on a baking tray.
  5. Sprinkle with gouda, making sure the buns are covered.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Top the cheesy buns with shredded chicken, slaw and pickled apple.
  8. Sprinkle with peanuts and top with the other bun halves.
