The oils you need for your winter haircare routine

Winter can be quite brutal on locks. While protective styles such as braids and faux locs shield the hair from constant manipulation and added harshness from the weather, they do not replace proper care and nourishment.
SHEA BUTTER
Extracted from the nut of the African shea tree, shea butter is a versatile hair oil that conditions, moisturises and strengthens hair. In winter, shea butter can be applied to hair as a conditioner immediately after washing your hair or as a moisturiser. Over time, hair breaks less, is more hydrated and looks healthier.
COCONUT OIL
Coconut oil has always been known as a hydrating hair oil that doesn’t weigh down the hair. This makes it suitable for all hair types. Because of its noncomedogenic properties, which means that it doesn’t clog or weigh down the hair, some use it as a leave-in treatment to hydrate and lock in moisture in the hair and scalp.
