The 30th GLAAD Media Awards took place on Thursday evening 27 March 2019 at the Beverly Hills hotel in Los Angeles and was hosted by Ross Matthews.
The annual ceremony is a celebration of those who have made successful efforts in supporting the LGTBQ community in film and television.
Guests of honour at this year’s ceremony were none other than power couple JAY-Z and Beyoncé. They received the prestigious Vanguard Award for their significant and continued promotion of acceptance of the LGBTQ community.
Beyoncé and JAY-Z gave an inspiring speech that had the crowd cheering. Beyoncé said, "Change starts with supporting the people closest to you."
