BEST MOMENTS FROM THE EXCELLENCE IN SPORTS PERFORMANCE YEARLY AWARDS

The 2019 Excellence In Sports Performance Yearly Awards (ESPY Awards) celebrate the best performing sportsmen and sportswomen globally.

It was held in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theatre on11 July 2019 and was hosted by comedian Tracy Morgan and guest presenters Sandra Bullock, Usher and Gabrielle Union to name a few. The room was packed with remarkable talent and accomplished sports professionals who came together to celebrate one another.

The red carpet was filled with major star power and celebrities arrived looking super glamorous. Take a look at our favourite fashion moments of the night.



DWYANE AND GABRIELLE UNION
Recently retired NBA basketball player, Dwyane Wade, arrived on the red carpet with his actress wife Gabrielle Union by his side. Dwyane pulled off a white Louis Vuitton suit and Gabrielle looked flawless in a blue RaisaVanessa mini dress.



CIARA AND RUSSELL WILSON
This power couple is no stranger to turning heads on the red carpet. This time they stepped out looking picture perfect, both wearing all black. Ciara accentuated her amazing figure in a sleek cutout gown by Alexandre Vauthier with a plunging neckline and high slit. Russell looked dapper in a unique floral patterned tuxedo. 

LAILA ALI
Female boxing champion and daughter of legendary boxer Mohamed Ali, Laila Ali, is known for experimenting with colours on the red carpet. Her fashion style is quite simplistic and minimal and she knows how to dress for her beautiful body shape. This time she wore a high-low navy dress with a sequin-embellished waist with a crisscross neckline.



TRIPLE H & STEPHANIE MCHAHON
WWE wrestling royalty, Triple H, came with his wife Stephanie McMahon who is also a wrestler and daughter of the wrestling executive Vince McMahon. This was the first year there was a WWE category for ‘best moment of the year’ at the ESPYS. The couple took a break from their usual wrestling attire and looked very sophisticated, with Triple H wearing a navy blue suit and Stephanie rocking a red palazzo jumpsuit, which she accessorised with a statement neckpiece and bracelet.



SEUN ADIGUN
Nigerian female bobsledder, Seun Adigun, who made headlines in the 2018 Olympics, made her red carpet debut at the ESPYS this year and looked absolutely amazing in a green and black dress with gold shoulder patches. Her date complemented her look with a green African print blazer and black fedora.



USHER
Forever stylish and always keeping up with trends, musician Usher Raymond brought some quirk and fun to the ESPYS red carpet. He kept it cool and fresh with a checkered black-and-white matching two-piece set. He’s had quite a number of bold red carpet moments in the past, but we think this one was especially memorable.
