Few things are as comforting as a warm, melt-in-your-mouth, cheesy lasagne. This recipe is so quick and easy, you’ll only need five ingredients to whip up this family-favourite, and within 30 minutes you’ll be ready to serve and enjoy!
What you’ll need:
- 1kg beef mince
- 2 cups ready-made tomato pasta sauce
- 3 tbsps of ricotta
- ¼ cup mozzarella
- Pasta sheets
How to do it:
- Heat a drop of olive oil or sunflower oil in a pan and cook 1kg beef mince until well browned
- Add 2 cups of ready-made tomato pasta sauce and stir to combine
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in an ovenproof baking dish
- Crumble 3 tbsps of ricotta over the meat, followed by ¼ cup mozzarella
- Layer with pasta sheets
- Repeat the process another 2 or 3 times
- Bake in a preheated oven of 180°C for 30 minutes or until golden brown
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve!
Top tips:
- To reduce cooking time, dip the lasagne sheets in boiling water.
- For a healthier alternative to pasta sheets, sauté eggplant, zucchini or sweet potato for 30 seconds and use for layering.
