We all have those days where all we want is a tasty snack that won’t take hours to make. In this video we show you how to make exactly that – three delicious treats that won’t disappoint.
What you’ll need for fudge:
- 3 cups white sugar
- ¾ cup chocolate, chopped
- ¾ cup marshmallows, chocolate
- ½ cup almonds, chocolate
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- ¾ cup butter, melted
How to do it:
- Melt butter in a microwaveable bowl.
- Add white sugar and evaporated milk and mix well.
- Microwave for 10-13 minutes and stir every 3 minutes.
- Top Tip: To test whether your fudge is done, place a drop in some cold water; it needs to form a soft ball.
- Add chopped chocolate, mini marshmallows and chopped almonds and combine well.
- Shape the mixture in a dish and leave to cool slightly.
What you’ll need for potato chips:
- 5 Potatoes, thinly sliced
- Paper towel
- Vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Herbs and spices of your choice
- For serving: sour cream or a dip of your choice
How to do it:
- Soak potato slices in water for 30 minutes
- Place the potato slices on a microwaveable plate and pour a little vegetable oil over
- Sprinkle with salt
- Add dried herbs and spices of your choice
- Place potato slices onto a sheet of paper towel and microwave for 8-12 minutes or until crispy
- Serve with sour cream or a dip of your choice
What you’ll need for the banana muffin:
- ½ cup cake flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp honey and stir
How to do it:
- Slice a banana and pour an egg and honey into a mixing jug
- Stir well until combined
- Add cake flour, cinnamon, baking powder and mashed banana
- Stir well to combine
- Place mixture into a microwaveable mug
- Top Tip: Make sure to leave enough space for the muffin to rise
- Top with a few leftover slices of banana
- Microwave for 3 minutes, checking at 1.5 minutes
- Serve with honey and whipped cream
