Raising busy and curious little bees comes with its challenges. In true Jet Club style, we share easy-to-follow cleaning tips that’ll help you deal with your little ones’ messes.
1. MILK
No use crying over spilt milk? We are sure most moms would disagree. By the time you realise you have a milk stain, the pungent smell of spoilt milk has often already greeted you at the door. Here’s how to clean up this mess, quickly, easily – and most importantly, effectively!
Tip: Use a microfibre cloth, water and dishwashing liquid to dilute the stain, then wipe up the milk with paper towels. If it is on the carpet, dab (don’t rub) the stain to avoid permanent damage.
2. GUM
If your kids are a bit older, it is unlikely that you have not yet found gum under countertops, stuck in the carpet or clinging to the couch. Don’t fret – although it may seem challenging, you can easily remove the offending gum.
Tip: Fill a plastic carrier bag or sandwich bag with ice blocks and place it on the gum until it freezes. For tougher gum stains, dab an old toothbrush in white vinegar and gently massage the gum out of the fibres. No need to splurge on a new couch just yet!

STUBBORN FOOD STAINS
Berries are delicious finger foods and make for great additions to playtime meals, but the marks they leave on your kids’ clothing can be a real pain to get rid of.
Tip: Once the stain dries, soak it in white vinegar. Rinse the fabric and let it air dry. That stain will be out in no time!
4. GLUE FROM STICKERS
Although there are many sticker books available for kids, these stickers often end up on walls, furniture, floors… basically, everywhere but the books.
Tip: Use a hairdryer to apply heat to the glue to soften it. When soft enough, use a credit card to scrape off the glue. If the hairdryer method doesn’t work, rub alcohol on it until you’re able to scrape it off.
