It’s holiday season! What’s a better way to relax than grabbing some popcorn and settling in for a sweet cinematic escape? Here are a few of our new favourites that we can’t stop thinking about.

WONKA
A familiar story to all, Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is an all-time best-selling children's book. Adapted to the screen, this film tells the whimsical story of how the inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka. Complete with a star-studded cast including Timothée Chalamet as Willy Wonka, Hugh Grant, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Colman, Rowan Atkinson and Sally Hawkins, Wonka is full of imagination, fun and adventure perfect for the whole family!


PRISCILLA
Sofia Coppola has done it again! From the director, actress and filmmaker well known for films such as Lost in Translation, Marie-Antionette and The Bling Ring, we now get a glimpse at the life of Priscilla Presley. The film looks behind closed doors at what life was like being in the shadow and under the thumb of her husband, the enigmatic Elvis Presley. Based off the memoir, Elvis and Me, Priscilla gives us the other side of the story – a big change from the 2022 biographical epic, Elvis.


RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ
Chills, a bass-thumping soundtrack and stunning visuals – nobody does it better than Queen Bey! The documentary follows the pop star, entrepreneur and mother’s journey through balancing it all while on her Renaissance world tour. Peek behind her creative process all while having your spine tingle with those signature Beyoncé melodies. We recommend watching it on IMAX for the closest thing to the concert experience!


NAPOLEON
Joaquin Phoenix becomes Napoleon Bonaparte in this action epic following the dynamic French emperor’s rise and fall. Expect visually dreamy battle sequences and a look into the volatile relationship with his wife, Josephine. We’ll never meet Napoleon, but this is the closest anyone will get thanks to Phoenix’s powerful performance.


AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM
In this second instalment, Aquaman forms an unlikely alliance with his brother, Orm, after taking over the mantle as king of Atlantis. Power hungry dethroned king, Black Manta, aims to destroy Atlantis and begin a reign of terror to spite Aquaman. After Putting their problems aside, they band together to protect Atlantis and save the world. Gather the whole family – it’s time for a wave of action!
