3 SOLO DATE IDEAS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY

Valentine’s Day is the poet’s holiday, and what better day to romanticise your life than on this love-soaked day? Whether it’s a small treat or a grand gesture to yourself, these ideas are all about embracing the magic of your own company. Take the day to bask in your own glow and rediscover how amazing you are.

GO ON A FLOWER WALK
Like a hot girl walk, but with an artsy twist. Start by drawing a vase on a piece of cardboard and punching holes at the top of your sketch. Then, head out on a flower hunt. As you come across blooms that catch your eye, pluck a couple (responsibly!) and insert them into your cardboard vase.

Enjoy the serenity of nature while you’re at it, soaking up the sights and scents of your surroundings. By the end of your walk, you’ll have a whimsical floral display and memories of a romantic stroll to treasure. Bonus: turn your bouquet into a keepsake by pressing the flowers later.

WRITE A LOVE LETTER TO YOUR FUTURE SELF
Channel your inner poet and pen a love letter that’ll have you kicking your legs with giddiness. Fill it with your hopes, dreams, and affirmations. Don’t hold back on the compliments either; mention how gorgeous you are and how lucky you are to have yourself in your life.

Add details about what you love most about your journey so far, and let yourself imagine the incredible places you’re headed. Seal it in an envelope to open next Valentine’s Day. You can also write a digital letter and schedule to send it to yourself in a year’s time.

THRIFT-STORE TREASURE HUNT
Give yourself a small budget and head to a thrift store for a treasure hunt. Keep an eye out for quirky finds, vintage gems, or items that spark joy. Maybe you’ll find a charming piece of decor, a book with a heartfelt inscription, or a retro outfit that feels like it was waiting just for you.

Take your time exploring and let yourself enjoy the thrill of discovering hidden treasures. It’s a fun and sustainable way to treat yourself without breaking the bank. To make it even more special, set a theme for your hunt, like finding items in your favourite colour or something to brighten up your space. Who says flying solo can’t come with a little adventure?
