1. BONANG MATHEBA
She’s a presenter, producer, model and businesswoman. What CAN’T Bonang do? In March 2019 she launched House of BNG, a luxury Méthode Cap Classique which made her the first black woman to be added to the Méthode Cap Classique Association. “The House of BNG has been a passion project of mine for a long time. It’s no secret that champagne is my favourite drink, so getting the chance to make my own MCC was an opportunity I couldn’t miss out on!” said Bonang to Channel24.

2. RIHANNA
Rihanna is responsible for a long list of chart-toppers – from the 2005 hit ‘Pon De Replay’ to the ultimate earworm, ‘Work’. (Good luck getting that out of your head now!) In September 2017 she decided to embark on a different journey, and FENTY beauty was born. According to FENTY, this is how that came about: “Before she was BadGalRiRi: music, fashion and beauty icon, Robyn Rihanna Fenty was a little girl in Barbados transfixed by her mother’s lipstick.

The first time she experienced make-up for herself, she never looked back.” Rihanna created FENTY beauty to fill a void in the beauty industry for products across all skin types and tones. Within one month of release, Fenty Beauty's sales were valued at $72 million. Go, RiRi!

3. JEANNIE D
We all know Jeannie D from Top Billing, The Afternoon Express and Strictly Come Dancing. She also has her own perfume, Jeannie in a Bottle which was launched in 2013. As if that’s not enough, Jeannie also launched The Finery Handcrafted Gin in 2018. The gin is proudly manufactured in South Africa.

4. DJ ZINHLE
When she’s not behind the decks, Zinhle Jiyane manages her jewellery collection, ERABYDJZINHLE, which consists of finished watches and bracelets. “I wanted to create more than just a product with my name on it, I wanted to create something special, something that will inspire people to be the best they can be, that is why I have been involved in the whole process”, says DJ Zinhle.

Zinhle recently also launched Jiyane Atelier, a furniture and décor business, with her friend Brandon Reynolds. The range is inspired by Zinhle’s vast travel inspirations, fashion and love for furniture.

That’s not all Zinhle has done on the side. She also co-wrote Meeting Your Power: Returning Home To Yourself with Nokubonga Mbanga. Yoh! Zinhle truly is a powerhouse.

5. MAPS MAPONYANE
TV personality, Maps Maponyane, recently opened a burger joint called Buns Out in Linden, Johannesburg.(We give him 10/10 for that name!) It’s still early days, but the restaurant has already scored great reviews from Maps’ biggest critics: his mom and dad. Who else’s opinion matters anyway?

10. JADEN SMITH
