THE TOP 6 LOOKS AT THE 2020 GRAMMY AWARDS

Fashion at the Grammy Awards is always entertaining! We’ve rounded up some of our fave looks of the night.

The 62nd annual Grammy Awards took place at the Staples Theatre in Los Angeles and this year the fashion was big, bold and full of colour – from massive tulle ball gowns to sequined mermaid dresses, the stars didn’t hold back. Why would they? This is a playground where music legends, music newcomers and Hollywood A-listers come together to celebrate the art of music and the industry’s successes… you simply have to make a statement on the red carpet.

Here are some of our top looks of the night.

The ever-so-fabulous Lizzo has been turning heads at all the red carpets in 2019 and continued to do so at the Grammy Awards. This body confident beauty is not shy to express herself through her music or her style. Lizzo channelled old Hollywood glam on the red carpet in a white Versace gown matched with a fluffy shawl and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery. The rapper and singer had eight nominations in total and won four Grammys. She accepted her awards in a glittering Christian Siriano gown.

Chrissy Teigen walked the Grammy red carpet in an orange Yanina Couture chiffon gown with exaggerated shoulders and plunging neckline. This choice of colour complemented her beautiful skin tone, her make-up was kept simple in nude colours, her hair was in a wavy bob and she accessorised the look with diamond earrings and a statement ring.

Arianna loves a dramatic red carpet entrance! At this year’s Grammys, she was indeed the belle of the ball in a Cinderella-inspired gown. The singer attended the ceremony in a voluminous grey ball gown by designer Giambattista Valli with matching gloves. Looking like a modern-day Disney princess Arianna had 5 nominations and unfortunately did not win in any of the categories.

Alicia looked flawless in a tight silver sequined one-shoulder gown with a high slit. Her hair was in a slicked-back bun with cornrows and she wore just a touch of sparkly eye shadow. Hosting the Grammys for the second time, Alicia opened the show by giving a tribute to NBA star Kobe Bryant and his daughter who tragically passed away this weekend.

Fashion Icon and music star Gwen Stefani is always a ‘one to watch’ at award shows. At this year’s Grammys she performed with her partner, country singer Blake Shelton wearing a Dolce and Gabbana queen of hearts-inspired dress. Gwen’s gown was covered in sparkling red and gold hearts with shimmering sequins. Looking like a queen right out of a fairy tale novel, she accessorised the look with gold bangles, chandelier earrings with diamonds and rubies and a huge heart-shaped pendant over her heart. She completed the look with a floral headpiece covered with red roses.

Rapper Cardi B missed the Grammys red carpet this year, but the cameras got a glimpse of her and rapper husband Offset during the show. Luckily she shared her look on Instagram. She chose a sheer body-hugging Thierry Mugler number with long sleeves and crystal detailing. For jewels, she opted for chandelier earrings, a collar style necklace and diamond bangles. Cardi was not up for any Grammy nominations this year but took home the award for Best Rap Album at last year's ceremony.
