Mocktails are a great way to add some fun and flavour to a relaxing afternoon of sunshine and friends. We’ve put together three delicious, family-friendly ones that you can try this spring.
What you’ll need for the marvellous mild-mosa
- 2 cups orange juice
- ½ cup Soda water
Method:
- Pour 1 ½ cups orange juice into an ice tray and freeze for 2 hours
- Add the frozen orange juice cubes, the other ½ cup orange juice and ½ cup soda water to a blender
- Blend until smooth
- Pour into a glass and serve with a fresh orange slice.
- ½ cup chopped cucumber
- 1 sprig mint2 cups strawberries
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 120ml soda water

Method:
- Chop your cucumber into 1cm thick cubes
- Wash your strawberries and sprinkle sugar over them
- Bring 200ml water to the boil in a small pot and then add the cucumber, mint and strawberries
- Reduce the heat to medium and cover the pot for 2 minutes
- Turn off the heat, stir and lightly crush the cucumber, mint and berries with the back of a spoon
- Strain the mixture
- Pour 40ml of your strained mixture into a glass
- Add in 120ml soda water and a handful of ice and top
- Garnish with some more cucumber, apply slices, strawberries and mint
- Stir gently to combine.
What you’ll need for the fab faux-jito
- 1 sprig fresh mint
- 3 slices lime
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Ice
- 180ml Soda water
Method:
- Add mint leaves and lime to a bowl
- Using a muddler or a spoon, mash the lime and mint well
- Transfer your crushed mint and lime mixture to a tall glass
- Add in the honey, ice and soda water
- Stir to combine
- Garnish with lime and mint.
